Marcel Lemieux

Founder/Lead Trainer - Master CPT, l1-RSSC, RHEP

Meet Marcel, founder and lead trainer at Elite Mind+Body.

Marcel is a Masters Certified personal trainer with a unique expertise in optimizing mental and physical performance.

Marcel received his Master's Certification in Personal Fitness and Resistance Training from the Sport Performance Institute in 2018, as well as a Nutrition for Sport and Performance Certification in 2022. He is a Registered Health and Exercise Practitioner under the Fitness Practitioners Association of Ontario and a good standing member of both the Ontario Fitness Council and the American College of Sports Medicine.  Marcel is also a level 1 Certified Sleep, Stress Management and Recovery Coach.

 

With over a 12 year career in mental health counselling and intervention, Marcel brings a holistic approach to fitness and wellness. Marcel will be able to take a look at your lifestyle as whole, understanding that health and wellness is a complexity of factors that intertwine with each other.

 

Combining his deep understanding of mental health, with cutting-edge evidence based physical training techniques, as well as mental health counselling skills, Marcel is dedicated to helping clients achieve peak performance while managing the challenges of high-stress professions. 

When not running the business or training clients, Marcel is a part-time professor at Algonquin College in both the Police and Public Safety Institute and the School of Health and Community Studies. He also loves spending time with his two beautiful daughters.
